Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 30 mL (2 Tbsp) nut butter or alternative
  • 2 or 3 strawberries
  • 15 mL (1 Tbsp) sunflower seeds
  • 16 blueberries

NOTE: We like using blueberries for eyes but you can get creative!

Directions

  1. Cut the apples into quarters and trim out the core. Slice out a groove in the middle section from the outside of each quarter. Do not cut all the way through the apple (this will be the “mouth”).
  2. Spread some nut butter or alternative into the open section (the mouth) of the apple piece. This will act as “glue.”
  3. Slice the strawberries. Add one slice to the middle of the mouth to look like a tongue.
  4. Add seeds to the top and bottom of the mouth to look like teeth, sticking them into the nut butter.
  5. Add 1–3 small dollops of nut butter or alternative to the top of the apple piece and “glue” the blueberries on top to look like eyes.
  6. Enjoy!
